Verification of Competency Assessments

A Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU), a Principal Contractor (PC) or employer may request evidence that a worker has the 먹튀검증 and skills to perform a task in their workplace to the required current industry standard. A robust and stringent VOC system will expose any deficiencies in a person’s ability to conduct a required task regardless of how their competency, qualification or licence was obtained.

Verification of Competency (VOC) assessment is a pathway that employers should take to confirm that their staff are competent operators. VOC assessment is a method to insure that your staff can operate your machinery safely and in accordance with site requirements. VOC also means a substantial dollar saving to you by having your operators assessed to confirm that they are competent before operating equipment rather than finding out later that they are not competent and valuable machinery has been damaged due to poor operator skills and knowledge.

Employers can be confident that their current and potential employees possess the knowledge and skills to conduct their tasks in a safe and skilful manner. All relevant tasks will be verified against the current industry standards / benchmarks stated in the unit of competency. Employers can also specify to incorporate a worker’s employability skills into the VOC process. These employability skills are embedded into a unit of competency and beneficial to the employer to substantiate the worker’s productivity, self-management, problem-solving and initiative.

The applicant’s enrollment form will sent to the employer, filled out by the applicant and returned to the participating Registered Training organisation (RTO) with certified copies of photo identification and licences. The employer or nominated person and RTO will negotiate tasks relevant to the applicant’s current duties conducted in the workplace and formulate a plan for verification. The knowledge and skills requiring verification will be measured against the current industry standards by the RTO’s qualified and experienced trainers and assessors. The type of equipment to be used and the venue for the competency verification will also be determined.

The applicant will be informed of the verification process, the conditions under which the tasks will be conducted, the required outcome and the result of the verification process. Any gap training requirements and cost (if required) will be calculated by the RTO and approved by the employer prior to commencement of gap training. Documentation of VOC A report will be forwarded to the employer or nominated person detailing the result of the verification, the ability of the worker and the level of their performance.
